Home Safety Fair at KidZone Youth Museum – Saturday, September 30, 2006
The Community Event for NCW 2006 is to hold a Home Safety Fair. In addition, we are partnering with the Assistance League of Southern California in the distribution of home safety materials during Fall 2006.

Spring 2006 Events:

Expanding Your Horizons – Saturday, March 25, 2006
The conference will be held on the Doheny Campus of Mount St. Mary’s COllege near downtown Los Angeles, 10 Chester Place, CA 90007. Girls will take part in hands-on workshops, including opportunities to dissect pig hearts and isolate DNA. The conference costs $10 per person. Chemists Celebrate Earth Day (CCED) Events:

At Los Angeles City College (LACC) – week of April 16

At Occidental College – Saturday April 22

This annual Earth Day event will include a poster session by K-12 students from local schools, hands-on activities, and a plenary speaker. World Water Forum College Grant Program Presentation by Student Affiliates from Los Angeles City College – Tuesday, May 9

Join Dr. Aaron Brown and his Student Affiliates from L. A. City College as they present their work at a Metropolitan Water District conference featuring research projects, reports and technology prototypes. This presentation is part of their ongoing work as grant awardees from the Southern California World Water Forum 2006.
